How to fix vertical lines on laptop screen
Generally, laptop computers have more screen problems than desktop
computers. Vertical lines on  laptop screen can be caused by a software
      problem or a hardware problem.
  That is:-
Outdated/ Incompatible Driver
The installed graphics card creates all display-related settings,
including the display screen, graphics, effects, etc. Therefore, vertical lines on  laptop screen  issue may arise if the graphics card driver is out-of-date or
        incompatible with the operating system.
Incorrect Display Settings
If your display monitor is using a screen resolution that is
incompatible with it, Vertical lines on  laptop screen issues might arise.

Microsoft Windows OS problems
Vertical lines on  laptop screen problems can occur if you are using an operating system with
        malware.
Faulty hardware
Each display monitor has a unique installation process and accompanying
hardware requirements, including connections and GPU. If your ribbon
cable is disconnected, or if your display monitor is not compatible with
the system, vertical lines may appear on the screen.

Before proceeding to solve the problem of Vertical lines on  laptop screen, you have to find out whether the cause of the problem is
software-related or hardware related. An easy way to do this is detailed
    below.
Restart the laptop and on the first screen, you see, press the special key
that takes you to your computer's BIOS settings. This key depends on your
laptop manufacturer and can be found not only in your laptop's user manual
but also on the first screen you see when your computer starts up.
Since the BIOS is technically not part of the operating system, if the problem is software-related, you won't see any Vertical lines on laptop screen when you're in the BIOS. However, if you see vertical lines on laptop screen while in BIOS, the problem is hardware related.
