There are two types of UPS namely Offline and Online UPS. Out of these two, we use the Offline UPS type at home or the office. This UPS has only a 500-watt or 650-VA battery which is 12 Volts and 7 AH rating.

The maximum working temperature for rated
batteries is 77° F (25° C). Any deviation from this temperature can impact
performance and reduce the lifespan of a battery. The estimated life of a
battery is halved for every 15 degrees above 77, so bear that in mind while
putting your UPS. Place the UPS away from open windows and areas with a lot of
moisture, and provide at least two inches of space on either side of the unit
for proper ventilation.
Replacement UPS batteries are a smart idea to have on hand, but you shouldn't keep them in storage for very long. New batteries can be kept for up to a year, but if they are kept for too long, their lifespan will be shortened. Batteries should be kept in a space that is no warmer than 50° F (10° C) to extend their life.
Your UPS device battery could face diminished protection,

perform routine maintenance. By avoiding loose connections, eliminating

Can I replace the battery in a UPS?
We can replace UPS batteries ourselves. We can do this work ourselves by carefully following the instructions given below step by step. Changing the internal battery is not a big deal and can be done easily.
How to Change a UPS Battery
Tools Needed
• Long
Phillips screwdriver.
• New
replacement UPS battery
• Old
battery backup UPS/surge protector
• Pliers
(sometimes)
Step 1: Open the screws from the backside.
Step 2: When you open the cover, the
interior is visible.
Step 3: You'll see that the battery is secured in place by
a clamp. To release the clamp, remove
the screws from both of its sides.
Step 4: Remove its thimbles to reveal the RED and BLACK
cables.
Step 5: Remove the UPS battery.
Step 6: Install the new battery, attach the black (ground)
and red (+12 V) cables to the battery terminals, and reinstall the clamp that
holds the battery in place.
Step 7: Close the cover and tighten the screws opened in
step 1.
Now plug in the UPS and switch it on. A green light means you’re ready to go.
